I am the second Irish Poet after Fitzgerald to translate Khayyam. I am sorry
I did not view your web site during the six years I spent on the project. Your
presentation is inspiring as in fact it should be. The CD of my version and
Fitzgeralds can viewed on kalahari web site or through irishpoetsworldwide for
comments. No book version is as yet in the making. Thank you, Kevin

The site is easy to navigate and designed very aptly. There are a couple of
literals (Rubayiat). It would be user friendly if the translated verses could be
grouped by language, so the reader could go with the flow. But, with Omar and
T'ao Chen, what more can you want?

As a poet with an old fashion style of writing myself, it was very refreshing
to read some of the works of a master such as Omar Khayyam. I found it very
enlightening and uplifting. Thank you for making this site available for us. I
was born in Iran and remember some of the poetry that I studied over 25 years
ago. This was a treat. It was specially nice to read farsi on the internert.

I am very impressed from Your page. All my iranien friends are happy to see
Your pictures and pages. I have trained iranien engeneers in Theheran 1985
during the war in the Cherkat Muchaberat (Zentral Telecom Office)and have
learned much about Your Zarathustra, your modern pictures are giving quite an
impression of the ashrams! There is annother book, which I have seen in Theheran
The garden of Hafiz with absolutely phantastic pictures, one picture I can
remember, a hero is sleeping leant to a tree and his horse is waking him up,
when the enemies are nearby. Maybe You have also access to this wonderful book,
it is not available here. Thank You very much for Your efforts, backing old
iranian culture. Lutz Giehmann Central Research Laboraties German Telekom

As for the poem's technical level, it's so superb; but, as to its thematic
level, that's so striking to the extent that Omar dares go beyond the limits of
the respect of the Supreme Artist.

A praiseworthy homepage about a genius master of science and philosophy. I
wished the world could understand his words and his verses as persian spoken
people do, though the english translation of Fitzgerald is a great work. I think
at this point the world can be envius of persians.
