This definitely is my all time favorite poetry, although I like it’s original Persian version immensely.

Congratulations, my hat's off to you and thank you. Fitzgerald: And this delightful Herb whose tender Green Fledges the River's Lip on which we lean-- Ah, lean upon it lightly! for who knows From what once lovely Lip it springs unseen!

A complete web page- exactly what I was looking for. I am interested in this subject, so this is the first site I have found...and the only one I know I'll find as great. Only (you don't have to listen to me and my useless speech, I just say!)maybe you could just put a sample of his poetry work. I would be...groovy! I enjoyed this page a lot.Ah,what a page...did I said that?

I was in a dark room enlightened by a few candles and about to enter a room next door in order to visit somebody lots were afraid of. However, I was not scared at all. To get in there I had to pass an old female creature sitting on a sort of pulpit and reading cards. So I stopped and waited for the card she drew for me. It was a pik 7. “Great, this IS my number”, I said happily as if I waited for this number to come back to my consciousness after ages. She answered: “This number is not only connected with good luck.” “Good or bad luck doesn’t influence my inner happiness, so let me pass and enter”, I said. From that moment she began to look straight into my eyes. I was fascinated by her wide opened eyes. Though they were big and black I felt to see plenty of beautiful colours in the soul behind. As she moved closer to me my whole body was vibrating because I was about to see via her eyes into her past, present and future. I also wanted her to see mine. However, all of a sudden, she seemed really scared or shocked and cast down her eyes. I ordered twice to look into my eyes again. But she seemed ashamed and tried to avoid my eye-contact. The beings behind my back stood still and didn’t venture to get closer to me anymore. They seemed kind of scared and shocked as well. As that female creature didn’t follow my third command to look into my eyes, I woke up.

You've done a WONDERFUL JOB with "The Rubiayat" of Omar Khayyam! It's my favorite reading of all time, with the "Celestine Prophecy" (should be underlined, but I don't have the underline availability) series coming in close!

I don't fully understand the entire masterpiece, but someday, I hope to get it all into perspective.

It's such a dark piece, yet portrays the reality of life, itself. I think Omar Khayyam would certainly have been considered a conflict-theorist in the sociological institution! But, that's what makes "The Rubiayat" so spectacular!

Thanks for your hard work on this! It's a pleasure to have this access!

Sincerely,

Jeff
